Labor Doula (DONA)
I have lived most of my life in the Fresno and Clovis area, becoming the woman I am proud to be today. I graduated from CSU Fresno, where I met and married my best friend Menashe about seven years ago. Menashe and I have three beautiful children that challenge and amaze us on a daily basis. We have continued to work and raise our children here, while we pursue our dreams and enjoy these tender young years of our family.
I have wanted to work with pregnant moms for as long as I can remember. My dream was to work in the Peace Corps helping families find the support and resources that everyone needs in these journeys into Parenthood. Our life changed when we welcomed our first child, our daughter, into our family. I remember those first six months as being the most challenging and beautiful days of my life. I woke up one day with the clarity of knowing I wanted to be the person I needed in this time. It was there that I looked into being a doula, and made plans to attend a Birth Doula training with DONA.
Since my training in 2014, I have been privileged to work with many amazing families and serve them with the emotional, physical, and educational support that we all need when becoming a parent. I am truly in love with what I do, and feel so honored to connect with families in this way. My biggest goal as a doula is to accompany parents in this journey that can be isolating and unknown, so that these beginnings can be a little more gentle and welcoming.
